Electromagnetic MWD Electromagnetic Current Loop Telemetry (CLT EM-MWD) Phoenix's CLT EM-MWD system provides the reliable data needed for precise drilling in applications where conventional mud pulse telemetry is unsuitable. The Phoenix system uses electric signals to transmit real time directional and geological data under the most challenging wellbore conditions. Our CLT EM-MWD tool is able to face the demands of any project, including underbalanced drilling and shallow gas projects where speed is a top priority. Phoenix CLT EM-MWD Advantages:
For more detailed information, download the CLT EM-MWD brochure (PDF) or to inquire about using the Phoenix CLT EM-MWD on your next well, please contact us. For ultimate performance, use the Engage SmartChip Battery and the Inclination-at-Bit unit with our CLT EM-MWD system. Inclination-at-Bit CLT EM-MWD and Extended Reach To enhance the benefits of CLT EM-MWD even further, Phoenix has developed auxiliary products that substantially increase the ability to deliver precise wellbore placement. Inclination-at-Bit Sensor Conventional MWD tools have inclination sensors located over 10 metres from the drill bit, a distance that makes directional corrections challenging. Phoenix has taken its CLT EM-MWD tool to the next level of precision with its “at bit” sensor sub, located a mere 1 meter from the drill bit. Data from the Inclination-at-Bit Sensor quickly alerts the operator to wellbore deviations, enabling a more efficient, highly accurate drilling operation. Extended Reach The Phoenix Extended Reach Antenna extends the CLT EM-MWD’s ability to transmit data to the surface. This antenna offers solutions when geological formation limits transmission effectiveness. To learn more on this developing technology, please contact us.
