Ensight Measurement-at-Bit

Engineered by Phoenix’s R&D Team, Ensight Measurement-at-Bit is a short sub that is equipped with MWD sensors and is situated directly behind the bit. This allows drilling data to be transmitted from where the well is directed rather than where it is passing through, as is the case with a stand-alone MWD system.

Innovative Technology

Directional and gamma sensors are 1 meter behind the bit opposed to 10-20 meters behind the bit as in a traditional BHA.

Precise data, received in real time makes drilling into the payzone more efficient, with fewer corrections.

More accurate well bore placement saves drilling time and improves recovery rates.

In horizontal legs, the well path can be kept centered in the formation, eliminating exposure to the formations above and below the target.

Operates with both positive pulse and CLT-EM MWD systems, and is not limited by drilling conditions, such as mud type.
